The largest beach festival in Cornwall ready to host rock legends

Perranporth beach is hosting the Tunes in the Dunes festival on the May Bank Holiday. Set to be one of the biggest festivals on the summer calendar with Friday Night headliner Dizzee Rascal and Backbeat Sound System,  International rock the Stranglers, James Morrison on Sunday nigth along side Seth Lakeman.

The festival is the brainchild of Tommy Job, director of Perranporth’s Watering Hole, which has quickly become Cornwall’s leading live music venue and boasts the title of the UK’s only bar on a beach. In collaboration with long time festival organiser’s Ben Hall and Ian Whittaker of Electric Beach and The Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival, the threesome have created an opportunity for audiences across the UK to witness some of their favourite acts in a unique setting overlooking the Atlantic and nestled against the sand dunes of Perranporth bay. Job says “After 35 years of success at the Watering Hole it is great to see something major happening on the sands of Perranporth Beach, it’s an amazing opportunity for us to give back to the local community’s support and look forward to bringing in the thousands to share our special location with.”

Over the three days, Tunes in the Dunes is also hosting the British Longboard Champs and with key beer sponsor Korev Lager and cider sponsor Rattler, attendees will be able to sit back and relax with a drink, great music and surf during the day. For ticket prices of £85 for the whole weekend and day tickets starting at £30 available it is a not to be missed May Bank Holiday party for the whole family!

Vicky, you are amazing. After six weeks of moping around on crutches and trying to 'rest', I have a one hour (pretty painful!) massage with you and I'm feeling rather hopeful of running at bootcamp. Thank you! :)
